Resident Indicted on Psilocin Possession Charge

A Freehold woman was allegedly found in possession of a drug associated with psychedelic mushrooms.

A Monmouth County grand jury voted to indict a Freehold woman on one count of drug possession after she was allegedly found in possession of psilocin, the main psychoactive compound in psychedelic mushrooms.

Cassiano Ellerman, 20, of Adelphia Road, was originally arrested by Freehold Township Police on May 17. According to her indictment, Ellerman was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

Ellerman’s indictment was handed down on Thursday, Sept. 20. Her drug possession charge is considered a third-degree crime.
