Stolen Jewelry Sold to Freehold Stores, Police Say

A Manalapan resident allegedly sold jewelry that was reported stolen to jewelers in Marlboro and Freehold.

Christian Vatovec, 22, of Manalapan was arrested on April 19 for allegedly selling stolen jewelry at three different jewelry stores in Freehold and Marlboro.

According to an arrest warrant issued by the , Vatovec had jewelry in his possession that was reported stolen from a victim in a residential burglary on April 11.

Vatovec allegedly sold some of the jewelry to Sonny Jewelry Store, located in Marlboro, and and , both located in Freehold, the warrant indicated.

Vatovec was arrested by Detective Reginald Grant and charged with receiving stolen property. His bail was set at $10,000 with a 10 percent bond. He is currently remanded in Monmouth County Correctional Institute in default of his bail.

Earlier this year, Vatovec was at Buy & Sell City in Freehold.
