Crash in front of The Cabin Restaurant Injures Three

No word on injuries suffered in accident.

The area in front of Route 33 in front of The Cabin Restaurant was the site of an accident on Saturday night that sent three people to the hospital.

Detective Sgt. Eileen Dodd said around 7 p.m. 43-year-old Christopher Hanson of Hampton was stopped in his 2001 Toyota Tacoma behind a car waiting to make a left into the restaurant's parking lot. Dodd said it is believed his passenger, 39-year-old Brick resident Jeannine Scaramella pointed out a parking spot which Hanson attempted to drive into.

With his view of oncoming traffic obstructed by the car in front of him Hanson's car was hit by a 2008 Ford F-150 driven by 48-year-old Lucy Inneo of Farmingdale who was driving east on Route 33.

As a result of the impact, Hanson's car overturned and landed next to another parked car in the lot. Hanson and Inneo were removed from their cars and the two of them along with Scaramella were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

Dodd said Hanson was cited for careless driving. The crash is being investigated by Ptl. Jesse Moore. Also responding to the crash were the Farmingdale Fire Company, the Adelphia Fire Company, the Farmingdale First Aid Squad, the Ramtown First Aid Squad and paramedics from MONOC.
