Two Employees Robbed at Rt. 9 Gulf Station

The alleged robbers fled on foot onto Ryan Road.

Freehold Township Police, Manalapan Township Police, and the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office responded to the Gulf Gas Station and Cumberland Farms Store at the intersection of Rt. 9 and Ryan Rd. on Monday, July 30 at around 1 a.m. for a reported robbery.

The suspects told two male store employees that they were armed with handgunds and demanded money, according to Manalapan Township Police Captain Mike Fountain. After the robbery the two suspects, described as white males in their late teen years or early twenties, fled the area on foot onto Ryan Rd.

Police indicated that one of the suspects was heavy set and the other was   slender; both were about medium height. Manalapan police officers searched the area alongside Sgt. Pat Hamor and Officer Anthony Muscerella and K-9 NaNook of the Monmouth County Sheriffs K-9 Unit.
