Unknown Person Burglarizes Borough Business

Police say no one has been accused with the December burglary of a South Street store.

After an object was forced through a South Street business door, hundreds of dollars in inventory was taken.

According to, an object was forced into the business’ door between the hours of 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21 and 5 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22. Police believe that the person who put the object through the door then entered the business and burglarized it. Police say that cigars and cigarettes taken from the store were valued at $765.

Patrol Officer James Richmond responded to the scene. At this time no one has been charged with the burglary.
