Victim in Fatal Stabbing Identified

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office identified Freehold Borough resident Travis Keys, 44, as the that took place outside the Rug Mill Deli Friday evening.

No arrests have been made and the prosecutor’s office is actively investigating the murder, said Assistant Prosecutor Marc LeMieux.

Freehold Borough police responded to the stabbing, which took place in the Rug Mill Plaza at 20 Jackson Street at approximately 9 p.m.

Keys was transported to in Freehold Township, where he was pronounced dead, LeMieux said.
