Borough Council Honors Local Residents

Senior citizens, Eagle Scouts among those honored.

The Freehold Borough Council took some time recently to meet outside of Borough Hall and recognize members of the community.

Closing out their summer schedule the council convened at Hudson Manor where Mayor Nolan Higgins presented a proclamation declaring September Senior Citizens Month. Mayor Higgins also presented a proclamation declaring this past week National Assisted Living Week.

The meeting also included resolutions honoring a number of residents including Lillie Ham Hendry and William and Marilyn Madden.

The council also recognized Daniel Cardone, Ryan Tanguay and Nicholas Badamo for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout as part of the meeting.
