After months of rumors that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie would be tapped as the GOP vice president nomineee, Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney instead on Saturday .
Christie may now have the opportunity to serve as the GOP convention's keynote speaker later this month in Tampa, Fla. Being named the keynote speaker could open the door for Christie to run in 2016 and still allow him to serve a second term as governor.
The New Jersey governor, who in the past has stated he was not interested in the vice presidential nomination, may have ultimately lost out in the long run due to his short fuse and short record. In just the last month, Christie branded a reporter as an "idiot" down in Monmouth County and confronted an unknown resident on the Seaside Heights boardwalk.
Several Republicans who were in Norfolk, Va., during Romney's announcement told NJ.com that Christie needs to "tone down the smack talk" and "would have overshadowed Romney" during the campaign.
Romney's decision was lauded by New Jersey Republicans, Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen, 11th District, said, “I am pleased that Governor Romney has chosen one of our House leaders to be his running mate. My colleague, Paul Ryan, is young, very intelligent and will be an excellent Vice President.”
U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez also issued a statement, "Mitt Romney has shown that he means business in his war against America's middle class by choosing as his running mate the architect of the budget plan that favors the nation's wealthiest people and corporations," Menendez stated.
"Four years of a Romney-Ryan administration would be disastrous for New Jersey’s middle class, who have shouldered too much of the tax burden. As a result of Rep. Ryan’s proposed budget, seniors on fixed incomes would face greater hardship, as there would be an end to Medicare as we know it, and the Social Security system they spent most of their lives paying into would be privatized and subjected to the whims of the stock market. Proposed budget cuts would kill job growth and set back the fragile economic recovery. All of these would take a significant step forward to becoming reality with the election of Romney and Ryan."
Bush named the last NJ Govenor name close to C.C. Not a very long stay for her as EPA lead person. But hey this US politics they have to pay him back for all the cash he raised. Not to mention allowing Mittens and his kittens to travel on Jersey highways at speeds well above what NFL players are allowed to travel. I wonder if his plates were covered with duct tape.
Remember she at least worked out a deal for a job. What will C.C's. reward be?
refuse to use the health and dental care they worked out for you, pay full price at hospitals, refuse to except one penny of the retirement plan they worked out for you. Take a stand. There is nothing forcing you to use thes benefits. The percentage of union workers in the U.S. was only about 11.8 in 2011 to 20.1 in 1983.
and his Kittens and his Dressage Horse which he Claimed as a business expense
Look how many companies left Jersey and went over seas because of the Unions gauging the companies. justt because 12% of the worker force is union, they take more than they should get.

Jobs were moved to max profits at the expense of the workers that make the company what it is or what it was.
Always have to chuckle when non union members say union members are brainwashed.
Keep the government out of their government health care. You do know the Great communicator was a union guy against the Taft - Hartley act prior to finding out he could get elected to office as a rebub
And what has he done for us? Are you better off now than before he was elected? Has he lowered your taxes? Has he created jobs? Has he improved the quality of life for residents of NJ? College enrollments are down 30%, the public school system is a shambles and now towns & communities are forced to share services. People never learn, every time they put a republican in office the working class gets clobbered.
ok
i think this would help you Luke
