Very good to hear. Good luck to all of the candidates. By all appearances it looks like the voters of Freehold Borough have many fine people to choose from this year. After so many years of senseless bickering and debates about debates this is a very positive step in the right direction that shows democracy in the borough to be healthy and alive. I have often said that debates and own meetings are for the residents and not the parties or candidates. I encourage residents to come out and support this night and the election process that we have, it is for our benefit. Let's also keep things civil toward one another, that is so important in our small town. I know four of the five people who are looking to run and they are all good people. I do look forward to hearing from and learning more about Mr. Griffiths. To think, a few short years ago there was barely a republican party. That has changed and now we see interst and healthy competition in the democrat primary. This is all good for the residents and i encourage my fellow residents to pay attention, learn about and vote on the best individuals for them.

Those who haven't yet had the pleasure of hearing Dan Xavier debate will be in for a pleasant surprise, this evening. I heard him debate for the seat he eventually won on the Board of Education. He was very well informed and very well composed and - in short - he was impressive. You will find that Dan is sharp, articulate, creative, well informed and decisive. Should have included the two GOP candidates in this debate, so everyone could watch Dan Xavier outclass them all.
