Freehold Borough Students Provide Perspective at Upcoming Council Meeting

Students from the 21st Century Community Learning Program will give a presentation on the program at the Jan. 22 Freehold Borough Council meeting.

Roles will be reversed at the next Freehold Borough Council meeting when Freehold Borough students educate meeting attendees about the 21st Century Community Learning Center program (21st CCLC).

An agenda item, provided by Freehold Borough Councilman George Schnurr, states that students from the 21st CCLC will be giving a presentation on the program at the Jan. 22 council meeting.

The program runs Monday through Friday at both the Freehold Learning Center and Park Avenue Complex, and is an educational and safe place for students to go after school.

“The 21st CCLC offers a lot of educational and fun programs for students, but the catch is that students have to finish their homework first before they can participate in any of the fun and educational programs,” said Schnurr.

According to the 21st CCLC’s page on the Freehold Borough School’s website, the program provides opportunities for academic, artistic, and cultural enhancement activities to students and their families while school is not in session.
