Freehold Residents Line Up to Vote

Although power is yet to be restored to all areas of Freehold, residents made their way to their designated polling locations this morning to vote in the 2012 election.

Many Freehold Township residents had a change in their original location due to the many power outages in town. Most rerouted residents were told to report to the West Freehold School but, according to voters, this change was not a bad thing.

"I just complimented the entire staff in there," said June Holloway, who normally votes at the Social Services building off of Kozloski Road. "My hat goes off to Monmouth County, all of the staff is doing a great job, voting was quick and easy this morning."

Voters reported that the average wait time to vote at West Freehold School was between 10 and 15 minutes, typical of past elections.

"Voting took the normal amount of time," explained Janet Sharpe. "I was surprised that even though I was notified late last night about the change in location it [voting] went smoothly."
