Freehold Township Applies for Roadwork Grant

Funds from the New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund Act would go towards work on two local roads.

Two Freehold Township roads will receive roadwork thanks to the New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund Act.

At the Freehold Township Oct. 23 Committee meeting, a resolution was passed to allow the Mayor and Clerk to sign a grant agreement. The grant agreement shows that the township agrees to terms set by the NJ Transportation Trust Fund Act for work to be done on Willowbrook Road and Burlington Road. According to the resolution, Willowbrook Road would receive work for the area between the Route 33 bypass and Halls Mill Road. The grant application for Burlington Road would allow the project to enter into its second phase of work for the area between Maher Road and the Colts Neck Municipal Boundary Line.

By signing the grant agreement, roadwork will be paid by funds available from the New Jersey Transportation Trust Fund Act.
