Freehold Township Hosts Rabies Clinic for NJ Dogs and Cats

Clinic will be held on Saturday, Jan.26.

The Freehold Township Health Department wants to protect all New Jersey dogs and cats by offering free rabies shots this weekend.

On Saturday, Jan. 26 from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. all New Jersey residents are invited to bring their dogs and cats to the free rabies clinic at Michael J. Tighe Park. Like last year, Veterinarian, Dr. Gregory Jewel from Town and Country Veterinary Service will be administrating the rabies shot.

Once your cat or dog has been vaccinated, owners will be able to license their animal for 2013. In order to do so, you must bring a check and your renewal letter with you.

According to Freehold Township’s Health Department website, it is required for all dogs and cats to have the rabies vaccine. Cats must remain in their carriers and dogs must remain on a leash at all times. If you have further questions, contact the Health Department at (732) 294-2060.
