Freehold Township Prepares for Weather Changes with New Equipment

The Township Committee passed two resolutions that authorize the purchase of a leaf machine and the purchase and installation of plows and deflectors.

Freehold Township is gearing up for weather changes with the purchase of new equipment for the Department of Public Works.

At the Freehold Township Committee meeting on Tuesday, present Committee members unanimously voted through two resolutions that authorize the purchase of a 25-cubic-yard leaf machine and the purchase and installation of seven plows and deflectors.

According to each item’s resolution, the leaf machine will be purchased from Old Dominion Brush, a Virginia based company, for $34,947. The plows will be purchased and installed by Monmouth Truck Equipment of Shrewsbury, for $30,590.
