Freehold Township Shelter and Volunteer Information

Arrangements made for shelter space outside of township.

Shelter space is available for any Freehold Township resident without heat, according to alert sent out by the municipality’s Office of Emergency (OEM) management on Saturday.

The alert sent out by Freehold Township OEM is as follows:

Any Freehold Township resident who is without heat, and is unable to spend the night with family or friends, may contact OEM at 732-252-1950 for information. Through a cooperative effort, limited shelter space is available out of town.

Anyone seeking shelter space must be prepared to provide their own bedding and should bring their own clothing, toiletries, medication and personal items.

We also are in need of volunteers to help staff the shelter. Shifts will cover a 24-hour period and each shift will be approximately 8 hours long. Training will be provided. Those interested in volunteering should also call 732-252-1950.
