Freehold Administrators Recognized by State for Sandy Aftermath Efforts

Freehold Township Administrator Peter R. Valesi and Freehold Borough Administrator were recognized for their efforts after Hurricane Sandy.

Freehold Township Administrator Peter R. Valesi and Borough Administrator Joseph Bellina were two of eleven Monmouth County leaders recognized June 20 by the New Jersey State Senate and Assembly for their efforts in the aftermath of Sandy, according to a press release shared on Patch

The June 20 resolution was sponsored by Sen. Joseph Kyrillos (R-Monmouth), Assemblywoman Amy Handlin (R-Monmouth) and Assemblyman Declan O'Scanlon (R-Monmouth) to acknowledge the work of administrators in hard-hit areas from around the state.

The New Jersey Municipal Management Association members honored from the 11th district included:

  • Robert Bowden, Colts Neck 
  • George Jackson, Eatontown
  • Joseph Bellina, Freehold Borough
  • Peter R. Valesi, Freehold Township
  • Howard H. Woolley Jr., Long Branch
  • Andrew G. Brannen, Ocean Township
