Mayor, Borough Council Thank Hurricane Irene Responders

Many Freehold Borough employees and volunteers worked throughout the storm.

Emergency service providers and public works crews in Freehold Borough have been on the job throughout Hurricane Irene and during the ongoing cleanup effort. Mayor Michael Wilson and the Freehold Borough Council issued the following statement thanking employees and volunteers for their efforts:

The Mayor and Council want to extend their deep appreciation to all of our public safety, emergency management and public works employees who put our resident’s well-being above their own during the storm. The effort of mobilizing well in advance of Hurricane Irene paid off. Thanks to them, Freehold Borough was as prepared as possible to meet the challenges it presented.

Thank you to all the Police Officers, Firefighters, First Aid, Public Works employees and to the government agencies who helped Freehold Borough residents get past this hurricane.
