No Presidential Drama, but Tuesday's Primary Election Goes On

The June 5 vote includes a contested Democratic primary for Freehold Borough Council.

Freehold's vote on Tuesday's Republican presidential primary will have little consequence.

Mitt Romney sealed the Republican nomination on May 29 with a victory in the Texas primary. But the ballot in the June 5 primary election does include state and local races, including the first contested primary in Freehold Borough in 37 years.

Polls will be open 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday (June 5) for the primary election.
