Freehold residents who have services with Western Monmouth Utilities Authority (WMUA) will not see a rate increase this year.
according to Manalapan Township Committeeman Donald Holland, WMUA announced that there will be no rate increases for the rest of the year at their budget meeting in January.
The WMUA is also making payment easier through their establishment of an Automatic Account Withdrawal Plan which enables residents to pay their bill electronically. The payment will be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account.
This system eliminates the need to write a check or even initiating a payment online, and the service is free, according to a statement on the WMUA website.
An application to apply for the plan is required. Once the application is submitted, please continue to submit payments until a notification appears on your bill informing you that automatic account withdrawals have been activiated. Automatic account withdrawals will only be activated for accounts that are not delinquent, the release stated.
Download and print the “Authorization Agreement for Automatic Account Withdrawals,” by visiting the WMUA’s website and clicking on Forms & Applications on the left side of the home page. Or, call 732-446-9300 to request a form.
The WMUA's reorganization meeting will be held on Feb. 12 at 7:30 p.m.
