UPDATE: Bay Head and Mantoloking Voters to Also Vote at Boro Hall

Point Boro's Bay Head Shores and Point Beach also voting in Point Boro's municipal building

All registered voters in Bay Head and Mantoloking, along with all Point Beach voters, will have to go to Borough Hall on Bridge Avenue in Point Borough to vote on Nov. 6.

The information about Bay Head Shores, which is part of Point Borough, Bay Head and Mantoloking, along with Point Beach, is posted on Point Borough's Facebook page.

The Point Beach information is also posted on the municipal website's home page and was also communicated to residents by Reverse 911 calls on Saturday.

Borough Hall may get crowded and voters are asked "to plan accordingly," says the Borough's Facebook page.

The Bay Head Shores section and the Borough's Sunshine Harbor section, were  heavily flooded, according to Borough Administrator David Maffei. He said at a meeting on Thursday afternoon that all other polling places will be the same as always.

The Point Beach website says:

"Registered Point Pleasant Beach voters are advised that all four districts will be voting at the Point Pleasant Borough Municipal Complex, 2233 Bridge Avenue - Point Pleasant, New Jersey, between 6 AM and 8 PM."

Regarding other matters related to residents' attempts to recover from the brutal tropical storm, the website also lists other information:

"The Presbyterian Church on Bay Avenue in Point Pleasant Beach has cleaning supplies available.

As of 7 AM, this date (Sat. Nov. 3), power is being restored to additional areas west of the railroad tracks. JCP&L reports that their efforts are continuing.

JCP&L advises that they have also established a free distribution center for water and ice at the Circle Factory Outlets, 1407 Atlantic Avenue, Wall.

The 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. curfew remains in effect in Point Pleasant Beach until further notice.

The ban on all alcohol sales and service, within the Borough of Point Pleasant Beach, remains in effect until further notice. Violators will be subject to summons and arrest under a strict enforcement policy.

Residents are urged to monitor the Point Pleasant Beach radio station at 1630 AM for further information. It will be updated periodically with additional information.

Basic emergency information can be found on the town website.

Bay Head voters can vote in Bay Head: see Facebook - "Voting in Bay Head will take place at the firehouse on Bridge Ave, 6am - 8 pm. This was direct info from Mayor Curtis. Much confusion on this. Please share." - Judy Bradley Davis' Facebook page 6:30 pm today, Sunday November 4th

I am working mainly in Bay Head, so I cannot verify 100% what the final word is in Point Beach. I do know, though, that the fire department near the first aid is FULL of responders, donations, etc. The first aid squad is extremely busy and the high school gym is now filled with clothing donations (no they are not taking any more, please let us or them know if you find somewhere that can use them). I would check with the town to verify, but update here, etc, so they aren't swamped with calls.

The official Borough Facebook page said Bay Head to vote in Boro. I will have to call both towns tomorrow morning. If Mayor Curtis sees this and can get in touch with me tonight, that would be great. Please email denise.distephan@patch.com. Thanks.

Bay Head page confirms BH: http://www.bayheadnj.org/bhnj/ Sorry, I know things have changed many times already. I'm pretty sure they're going old school (low tech) and came up with a solution. Thanks for info-sharing. I love it!
