Report: Former Senior Center Director Under Investigation

Arlene Golub left her position on Sept. 16, according to the Asbury Park Press.

Former Freehold Township Senior Center Director Arlene Golub is under investigation after a complaint was forwarded to the Police Department last week, according to a report in the Asbury Park Press.

Freehold Township Administrator Peter Valesi said his office received a complaint two weeks ago and he subsequently forwarded it to the Freehold Township Police Department. Valesi said he could not comment on the nature of the complaint or whether it was made municipal employee or by a member of the public.

Golub left her position on Sept. 16, according to the Asbury Park Press article. Valesi said the township did not ask Golub to resign.

"She didn't resign. She handed in her retirement letter. She worked for the township for 37 years," Valesi said.

Golub is the wife of Freehold Township Deputy Mayor Eugene Golub.
