Freehold Borough Sidewalk Repair Planned

Construction on sidewalks on selected streets could begin in July.

Various sidewalks in Freehold Borough will receive a facelift this summer with the adoption of a new resolution.

At the Monday, July 2 Freehold Borough Council meeting Borough Council members unanimously voted to adopt a new resolution that selected A&A Curbing Inc.'s bid to make town sidewalk repairs. According to the resolution, eleven companies presented bids for the sidewalk repair to the town in May. After looking at each bid, Freehold Borough selected the lowest bid amount of $129,544 which came from a South River, New Jersey Company called A&A Curbing, Inc.

The resolution further explains that funds for the sidewalk repair will come from the town's General Capital Account.
