Academic Calendar Revised for Freehold Borough Students

The Freehold Borough Board of Education adopted a revised calendar for the 2012-2013 school year.

The 2012-2013 academic school year will run a little differently than originally scheduled for Freehold Borough students. The Freehold Borough Board of Education (BOE) adopted the following calendar to make up for time off from Hurricane Sandy and the recent Nor’easter.

  • Wednesday, Nov. 21 - Early Dismissal for Thanksgiving Recess
  • Thursday, Nov. 22 – District closed for Thanksgiving Recess
  • Friday, Nov. 23 – District closed for Thanksgiving Recess
  • Friday, Dec. 21 – Early dismissal for Winter Recess
  • Monday, Dec. 24  – Winter recess begins
  • Wednesday, Jan. 2 – Schools reopen
  • Friday, Jan. 18 – Early dismissal for Staff Professional Development
  • Friday, Feb. 15 – Early dismissal for Staff Professional Development
  • Tuesday, March 5 – Early Dismissal for Parent Conference
  • Wednesday, March 6 – Early Dismissal for Parent Conferences
  • Thursday, March 7 – Early Dismissal for Parent Conferences
  • Friday, March 8 – Early Dismissal for Staff Professional Development
  • Monday, March 25 – Schools close for Spring Recess
  • Tuesday, April 2 – Schools open
  • Friday, May 24 – Early dismissal for Staff Professional Development
  • Monday, May 27 - Schools Closed for Memorial Day
  • Friday, June 21 – Early dismissal for Staff Professional Development
  • Monday, June 24 – Last day for students and staff

According to the revised calendar, in the event the Freehold Borough School District uses additional days for emergency closings, the calendar will be modified to make up those days in the following order: March 25, March 26, March 27, June 25, June 26, and June 27.
