Calling All Freehold School Board Hopefuls

Election packets for Board of Education candidates ready on Wednesday

It’s nearly May and, naturally, time to think about November elections. 

On Wednesday, anyone interested in running for one of three seats up for grabs on the Borough or Township Board of Education can pick up the necessary paperwork to begin the process of placing your name on the November ballot.

There are three, three-year terms on the Township Board of Education available in the upcoming November elections. There also are three, three-year terms up for grabs on the Borough Board of Education as well as the Freehold Regional High School District board.

On the township school board, Board President Mindy Wille’s term ends this year, along with members Vincent Bruno and Daniel DiBlasio.

On the borough school board the terms of Annette Jordan, board president, and members Michele Tennant and Thomas Park expire this year.

On the high school district school board, the terms of Elizabeth Canario, representing Englishtown, Kathie Lavin, representing Farmingdale, and Ronald Lawson, representing Howell expire this year.

Election packets can be downloaded from www.njsba.org/candidacy, or they can be picked up from the Clerk of Elections office at 300 Halls Mill Road, Freehold, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Packets must be returned to the Clerk of Elections before 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 4.
