Catena School Science Fair

Please read the following information about science fair, including the setup details on the day before the fair (May 24).

The fair is still in need of parent volunteers to come help with the setup and also at the end of the fair to help cleaning up. Please email yin_bao@yahoo.com if you can help.

our entry for the 9th Annual Catena Science Fair has been received.  At this time you should be busy preparing your experiment for display on Wednesday, May 25, 2011.  The event will take place from 7:30-8:30 p.m.  All scientists may arrive any time after 7:00 pm to give you the opportunity to view the other exhibits as well as fine tune your own and be on hand as family and friends come to admire your hard work.  Some things to keep in mind:

Please have a poster board along with any data, explanations or conclusions you feel are important to include, to help visitors understand your project. The science fair committee will prepare the sign with your experiment title and name of participants.

All projects must be dropped off at the school Gym the day before the science fair on Tuesday afternoon, May 24th, between 4:15pm-5:15pm.  We will assign your space to you when you arrive. Experiments with live animals or expensive/fragile equipment should be brought in the day of fair instead – but it will still be a good idea to come to the setup to drop off the poster and to make sure the allocated table works well with your experiment.

You will be responsible to take your experiment home at the conclusion of the fair (8:30 p.m).  If you cannot stay to the end, please arrange to have someone take it home for you or it will be donated to the “Recycling Museum.”

You will have time during the evening to visit your fellow classmates’ experiments.

If you or your parents have any questions please feel free to call 732-625-9833 or email me yin_bao@yahoo.com
