PAD (Peripheral Arterial Disease) Screening at CentraState

CentraState Healthcare System is offering a PAD (peripheral arterial disease) screening on Wednesday, September 7, 6-8 p.m. at CentraState’s Star and Barry Tobias Health Awareness Center, 901 West Main Street, Freehold.

A physician lecture about PAD will precede the screenings at 6-6:30 p.m. The screenings will begin immediately following the lecture at 6:30-8 p.m. The painless screening is performed to identify a person’s health risk for PAD — the narrowing of vessels that carry blood throughout the body.

The screening is especially appropriate for people who are experiencing potential PAD symptoms such as cramping, fatigue, heaviness, pain or discomfort in the legs or high blood pressure. It is not for those who have a previous history of the disease.

The screening is $10. Space is limited and registration is required. For more information or to register, visit centrastate.com/healthprograms or call 732-308-0570.
