FHS Student Wins National Green Connection Contest

Jessica Delisky won an all expenses paid educational trip to France.

(FHS) announced that eleventh grade student Jessica Delisky has won the 2012 Green Connection.

The Green Connection is a national contest created by the Cultural Services of the Embassy of France in the U.S. Jessica produced an award winning audiovisual presentation addressing 21st century environmental concerns. The presentation has afforded Jessica an exclusive all-expense paid educational trip to France starting Monday, July 2 until Friday, July 13.

Coordinators of the Green Connection shared that the goals of the program are to increase interaction between American and French students and to enlighten them in languages and cultures unlike their own. Program officials hope that involvement in the program will help students become more aware of the issues that plague the environment and inspire them to help protect natural resources.
