Freehold Soccer League Deadens Up Tournament with Annual Frightfest

The 14th annual year of the Freehold Soccer League's Frightfest soccer tournament will take place Saturday, Oct. 20.

An early Halloween will come to Jackson Mills Park and  Opatut Park this weekend, with the annual Freehold Soccer League Frightfest Tournament.

Over 140 teams from New Jersey and neighboring states will show off their soccer skills and Halloween costumes on Saturday, Oct. 20. The tournament, which is now in its 14th year, will have boys and girls teams battle it out on the soccer field and for the best costume. Participation awards will be given out to all players. Awards will be given out to teams with the best costumes and best team pumpkin at each location.

According to the league's website, the tournament is open to travel teams in the U-8 through U-10 divisions. The Halloween theme will be carried over to all aspects of the tournament. All participating teams are encouraged to get into the spirit of the event.
