Freehold Borough Schools Name New Superintendent

Dr. Rocco Tomazic will take over as Superintendent of Freehold Borough Schools in April.

Freehold Borough Schools started off 2013 by naming Dr. Rocco Tomazic as the new Superintendent of Schools.

The news was announced at the Thursday, Jan. 3 Board of Education Reorganization meeting. The board unanimously passed a resolution that agreed to make Tomazic the Superintendent of Freehold Borough Schools, following the retirement of current Superintendent Elizabeth O’Connell. 

Tomazic is a Freehold resident and currently works as the Superintendent of Schools in the Linden School District.

According to the resolution, Tomazic will officially take over his role as Superintendent in April; O’Connell is currently scheduled to retire in March. Tomazic’s employment will be for a period of four years, ending on June 30, 2017.
