Nicole Francese Wins American Legion Essay Contest

Nicole Francese wrote an essay about what safety means to her.

Whiz Kid's Accomplishments: On Tuesday, March 8, Nicole was honored by the Freehold Township Board of Education for winning the 2011 American Legion Safety Essay Contest for the local Freehold American Legion post as well as at the district level. Nicole’s essay will now compete with other district winners at the state level.

Whiz Kid's Keys to Awesomeness: According to her teacher, John Krupp, Nicole took the Dwight D. Eisenhower Middle School 3Rs theme of being respectful, responsible, and ready to work, and applied them to the essay theme of what personal safety means to her. Krupp said Nicole works to not only meet but exceed expectations in the classroom.
