Supreme Tutoring Opens With Charitable Registration Event

The new educational center provides private and small classroom tutoring.

, a new center for educating children, opened in Freehold Township in early August under the direction of owner Adam Newman. The facility is located at 4241 Route 9 North, just past the Schibanoff Lane intersection.

Newman wants his business to play an active role in the Western Monmouth community. As such, Supreme Tutoring will hold a on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. All proceeds from the registration fees will be donated to the parent-teacher organizations of Freehold, Marlboro and Manalapan and to YMCA Camp Arrowhead in Marlboro, Newman said.

The event will also feature activities, give-a-aways for parents and children, and parent seminars on back to college and back to school. Some of the give-a-ways will include free SAT classes and free tutoring for a month.

“The way I set up this business model is that we want to give back to the community,” Newman said. “We will always give a percentage of registration back to charity.”

An expert in the education field for over 15 years, Newman said has saw a demand for a tutoring center that provides children with private and small classroom tutoring. He founded Supreme Tutoring with the hope of fulfilling that demand.

“It was created based on knowing the needs of how children learn,” Newman said.

In addition to tutoring programs in math, reading and writing, Supreme Tutoring offers technological advancements such as robotics, Kindles and interactive whiteboards. In addition the center provides socialization programs for children with special needs, an after-school homework club, educationally enriched programs that tie in speech and programs on life skills. Children in grades K through 12 will be able to take advantage of these services.

“Every room is equipped with a monitor and a laptop where kids get to use Kindles to download and read books and teachers read the books to them,” Newman said.

As part of the center’s use of new technology, kids will put together robots that come in robotic kits. He explained it as being like putting together Lego blocks.

“What they do from there is re-program the robot to move around and it downloads into the chip,” Newman said.

The center’s instructors are all licensed teachers that are trained in CPR and first aid and have a firm grasp of the latest technology. Newman said he carefully picks his teachers to be sure the center has the right teachers for its students.

“They go through a tough interviewing process,” he said.
