Susan Greitz Joins Freehold Borough BOE

Greitz was appointed to a position on the Freehold Borough Board of Education.

The has a new addition to its board. At the board's Dec. 12 meeting, the governing body held public interviews to fill an open position resulting from Kevin Tennet’s resignation.

Two residents, Carolyn Carr and Susan Greitz, were interviewed in front of the board and audience at last night’s meeting. After each board member asked a question to the candidates, the board went into executive session to discuss the candidates for the board vacancy. 

After 30 minutes in executive session, the board resumed the public session of the meeting with a roll call vote which resulted in Greitz becoming the newest Freehold Borough Board of Education member.

"Mrs. Greitz has been very involved in the school and with her background I think she will be a very good board member," said Freehold Borough School District Administrator Patrick DeGeorge.

Greitz, a Park Avenue resident for over 10 years has a background in marketing and public relations. She is currently an active member of the Park Avenue Elementary School PTO as well as other subcommittees. Greitz was sworn in at last night’s meeting and will serve on the board until the seat comes up for reelection in April 2012.
