Patch Whiz Kid of the Week: Grace Mulholland of Freehold

Whiz Kid's School: Virginia Tech, where Grace has just completed her sophomore year.

Whiz Kid's Accomplishments: Grace, 19, has maintained a 4.0 GPA while playing an active role on her campus. She has been named inaugural co-president of the school’s new Honors Residential College; is a member of the color guard in Virginia Tech’s band, the Marching Virginians; and serves as music director of the school’s a cappella group, Mixed Emotions. Grace gave a presentation at the International Honeybee Conference in Texas last winter and was recently published in the American Bee Journal.

Whiz Kid's Keys to Awesomeness: Grace doesn’t rest on her laurels. In addition to her stellar academic career and accomplishments on campus, Grace has received a grant to develop and implement a program helping AIDS orphans in Africa in the summer of 2012.
