Cobb Earns NJSIAA Scholarship

Over the course of her senior year Freehold High School senior Sara Cobb proved to be not only one of the most dominant soccer players in the Shore Conference but her efforts also helped lead her basketball team to the elite levels in the state as well.

For her efforts Cobb was recently announced as a scholar athlete scholarship winner by the New Jersey Interscholastic Athletic Association. Cobb and 14 other athletes from around the county received scholarships worth more than $12,000.

Cobb’s $1,000 scholarship was sponsored by the NJSCA. According to the NJSIAA each school can pick one senior athlete as their scholar-athlete of the year and the scholarships are funded by sponsors and other supporting organizations of the association.
