The celebrated their this weekend with a parade and ceremony. Patch is celebrating baseball season by adding a Yankee to our own roster.
Yankees first baseman Mark Teixeira has been named as Commissioner of Patch Baseball and will interact with Patch users across the country, Patch has announced.
The slugger, who lives in the Patch town of Greenwich, Conn., will respond to questions from users, share baseball tips and post exclusive videos.
The two-time All-Star and four-time Gold Glove winner will also offer young athletes advice on how to stay in shape and discuss the importance of healthful eating.
“I live in a Patch town now and I keep tabs on my via the Patch site there, so I’ve seen the ways that Patch supports its communities,” Teixeira said. “I’m excited to be a part of that by connecting with Patch users who have the same passion for baseball that I do. I’m eager to see what kinds of questions they toss my way!”
