Mall Summer Concert Series Kicks Off Tuesday

Shows run though the summer and into August.

The Freehold Raceway Mall Summer Concert Series will kick off on Tuesday night and while many of the local high schools will be holding their graduation ceremonies the first performers of the season seem particularly fitting.

The Popular band The Nerds is scheduled to start their show at 6 p.m. near the Cheesecake Factory with a rain date set for Wednesday. Screaming Broccoli will take the stage July 2 with a rain date the following day. That show will be followed by Brian Kirk and the Jerks on July 9. Their rate date is scheduled for July 14.

Next up on the schedule is a tribute to the Piano Man himself with a performance by Wade Preston hosted by 107.1 FM. The July 17 show will be followed by the Southbound Country Band coming to town the following week sponsored by Thunder 106 FM.The Benjamins will round out the July schedule with a concert hosted by B98.5.

One of the final acts to perform will be the BStreet Band with their August 6 show. The final concert is scheduled for August 20 when 107.1FM presents Nine Deeze Nite. 

The concerts run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and are held in the area between the Cheesecake Factory and the Brio restaurant.
