Freehold Memorial Day Parade Winners Announced Monday
Colts Neck HS NJROTC wins the most categories in the 2013 judging
The winners of the 2013 Memorial Day Parade were awarded an American eagle trophy at the Borough Council’s regular meeting on Monday.
Coming out on top was the Colts Neck High School Navy Junior ROTC squad, which left with three awards. The squad won “Best Overall Youth Unit,’’ the “Honor/Color Guard Award’’ and the “Best Overall/Judges Choice Award.’’
Freehold Township High School won the first “Alice McCobb Freehold Memorial Day Parade Volunteer Trophy’’ for the school’s widespread volunteerism. The high school fielded 42 volunteers to help out with the parade.

And longtime photographer Allan Goldberg of Coachman Studios, Manchester, received the Chairman's Choice award for his years of service photographing the Freehold parade.
