Raceway Ready For July 4 Celebration

Free event returns on July 4.

Once again the sky will light up over the Freehold Raceway next week when the annual Independence Day Concert is scheduled to be held.

Held in association with nearby iPlay America and Coors Light the July 4th celebration is set to kick off when the gates open at 5:30 with live music from the Rock and Roll Chorus and the Turnstyles, featuring Freehold business owner Rob Kash.

Christina DeGuilis, the Marketing and Events Coordinator for Downtown Freehold said the event figures to be another memorable experience to celebrate the birth of our nation. “Last year’s expansion of the fireworks to a half hour was met with great enthusiasm, and we have maintained, that,” she said. “Freehold fireworks have been a mainstay and become a huge family tradition, and we are honored to continue this event, which features food vendors and other attractions in a community, picnic-like setting.”

DeGulis said another difference between the Freehold show and that of some of the neighboring towns is that it is free to the general public. Parking is also free and for those who cannot make the show it will be simulcast on 107.1 FM.
