Summer Camp Guide for Freehold

Summer is right around the corner and many Freehold camps are starting their program registration and offering a variety of fun summer events to keep campers entertained and busy.

Here is a more in depth look at what a few Freehold summer camps are offering this year.

Freehold Township Recreation

Where: Michael J. Tighe Park

Deadline for registration: Late registration ends June 14

Details: Seven-week summer camp program for boys and girls between kindergarten and eighth grade. Camp runs from July 1 until Aug. 16 Monday through Friday. Campers participate in a wide range of age and developmentally appropriate activities, including splash pads, camp trips, arts and crafts, sports and games.

YMCA of Western Monmouth Camps

Name: Freehold Kiddie Kamp, Freehold Jr. Kiddie Kamp

Where: YMCA of Western Monmouth

Details: Kiddie Kamp – for children between ages 3 and 6 (must be potty trained). Jr. Kiddie Kamp – for children between ages 2 and 3. Activities include: sports, music, golf, arts and crafts, climbing wall, nature, swim lessons, recreational swim and science. Camp length ranges from three days to five days with the option of mini-days and extended care.

Name: Swim Multi Sports Camp

Where: YMCA of Western Monmouth

Details: Program consists of daily swim instruction and recreational swim, sports instruction, trips, special events, games, and much more. Weekly session with day and hour ranges available. For children between the ages of 6 and 12.

Cost: Depends on number of days and hours at camp. More information available here.
