The 'Zisl' Slepovitch Klezmer Trio: Holiday Concert

Once again the Jewish Heritage Museum of Monmouth County will welcome the Dmitri Zisl Slepovitch Trio and its "Holiday Concert" on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at 2 PM.  The concert will feature Jewish music from around the world.  Admission is $18.00 for members, $20.00 for non-members.

Dmitri Slepovitch is an ethnomusicologist, educator, clarinetist, pianist, saxophone composer, conductor and Yiddish singer.  He performs and teaches Ashkenazi Jewish music and other Eastern and Central European musical traditions and has performed with many internationally known musicians. He has co-arranged a score for Itzhak Perlman's 2012 album Eternal Echoes: Songs and Dances for the Soul and has worked as a music consultant and played character roles in the movie Defiance(2009)  and The Burning Land (2003).  Among his original works he has composed music for the ballet, Two Brothers (Folksbeine) and the documentary, Funeral Season.
