Knights of Columbus Awards Donations

Three organizations received $250 from the Knights.

Emergency service professional respond when disaster strikes. But in order to do so, service organizations need community support. The recognized Freehold’s first responders during its monthly breakfast on Sunday.

The Knights of Columbus donated $250 to the Freehold First Aid and Emergency Squad, the Freehold Borough Fire Department, and the Freehold Borough PBA from its charity account, according to Deputy Grand Knight Joe Luongo.

Bill Madden, a trustee with Freehold First Aid and Emergency Squad, accepted the check on behalf of the volunteer organization.

Fire Chief Ryan Bailey accepted the Freehold Borough Fire Department’s check.

The Freehold Borough PBA was unable to send a representative to the breakfast, but they have received the donation, Luongo said.

The Knights of Columbus’ next event will be a on Saturday, Oct. 29 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tickets cost $30 per person and include a hot buffet, soda, coffee, tea and cake. The event features live entertainment, games, prizes and a cash bar. Costumes are optional. To purchase tickets or for more information, call 732-995-6577.
