Rock-N-Roll to a Cure for Pancreatic Cancer at VFW in Freehold

You are invited to “Rock –N-Roll to a Cure” for Pancreatic Cancer this weekend.

Tramps Like Us, the hugely successful Springsteen cover band, will perform in a benefit concert on Sunday, June 24 at the .

“As in 80% of cases of pancreatic cancer, it is not diagnosed until the disease is already in an advanced stage,” wrote Christine Sandefur as she was dying from the disease earlier this year. “Symptoms are vague and often ignored as something else going on in the body. Early detection, research, and increased awareness are critical to the survival rate in pancreatic cancer.”

Christine passed away in April 2012 after a valiant fight with this disease for 18 months.

Andrew Petruzzi, who lost both his grandmother and his aunt to the disease years ago, became friends with Sandefur prior to her passing. He has now dedicated his time towards raising funds for research that might lead to a cure for pancreatic cancer.

His efforts have resulted in the Rock -N- Roll to a Cure event, which takes place from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the . The band takes the stage from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., so be sure to arrive early! Tickets cost $85.00 per person.
