Elks Host Steak & Lobster Night This Week

A look at events happening in and around Freehold This Week.

The local governing bodies in Freehold Township and Freehold Borough are expected to have a quiet week with no meetings on the agenda. Looking at our community calendar it also looks to be a quiet week outside of the meeting rooms.

There may not be a lot on the agenda but there is at least one delicious option on the horizon for the weekend. The Freehold Elks Lodge will be hosting a Steak & Lobster night at their East Main Street hall. The event is set for Saturday night and includes not just the main courses but also a wide variety of side dishes as well as music and dancing. Tickets have to be purchased in advance and the deadline is Wednesday to get your tickets.

For people looking to do something to help others Freehold LeTip will be holding a blood drive on Thursday at the American Hotel. During the summer when blood supply is usually low the drive can help refill the local stockpiles. If 50 pints of blood can be collected NJ Blood Services will donate $500 to help with recovery efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
