Patriot Hockey Hosting Clothing Drive

A look at events happening in Freehold this weekend.

The fall sports season is almost done across the Shore Conference and before the Freehold Township High School ice hockey team takes the ice the squad is doing something to help other people in the community.

On Saturday morning team members will be at the high school conducting a clothing and toy drive. Items being collected include clothing, shoes, linens, pocketbooks, toys, stuffed animals and more. All items should be in tall kitchen bags to be given to people in need.

Before the drive the First Assembly of God on Jackson Mills road will be hosting a special seminar on how “Everyday Parents Can Raise Extraordinary Kids.” Designed for parents of children between the ages of 2 and 18 the seminar will discuss ways to help raise children in a fun and uplifting environment. The cost is $10 for the first parent and the second parent is free.
