Two Chances to Help Local Families in Freehold This Weekend

A look at events happening in Freehold this weekend.

A pair of events are scheduled to be held in Freehold this weekend aimed at helping local families with young children fighting difficult medical battles.

On Saturday morning the Freehold Township Firehouse will be hosting a Gift for Gracie Blood Drive starting at 9 a.m. The drive is being held for a West Freehold School student Grace West who is fighting an aggressive form of cancer.

Blood donated on Saturday will go to the blood bank of the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where the young girl, Grace West, receives treatment. For more information go to this website and look for Gift for Gracie.

On Sunday Dancin’ on the Edge will hold an event called Move to the Music for Mikey starting at 2 p.m. This event is for a 4-year-old Old Bridge boy who was recently diagnosed with neuroblastoma. As part of the day Zumba classes will be held for adults and hip hop classes will be held for children.

All donations will be given to the family as Mikey undergoes chemotherapy as part of his treatment. To reserve a spot in either class call 732-409-3777.
