I cannot say enough good things about Freehold Animal Hospital. We adopted a dog from a shelter, and she was very ill when we went to pick her up. Freehold Animal Hospital let us bring her in at a moment's notice and provided her with excellent care. She had pneumonia, and we opted to board her there so that she could receive IV antibiotics and nebulizer treatments around the clock. The vets and staff there were wonderful!! And the price was VERY reasonable! They are the only vets we will use for all our animals now. And our dog LOVES them...she is never scared or upset when we bring her...she walks in wagging her tail. They are fantastic!

While they push clients to buy everything under the sun, I don't feel that they truly care about any of the pets individually. I had a very bad experience with them....they injured my very sweet and gentle dogs back because they were so rough in handling her while cutting her nails. She became paralyzed for several days....they told me she probably had a brain tumor, and that I should put her to sleep. I took her somewhere else, and was told there was no tumor, and she had suffered a back injury. Not only did they charge me hundreds of dollars.....they misdiagnosed my dog, and it was THEY who caused her injury. All they care about is money, and they will take you for every dollar they can get!

Here are things you should know about people who post 1 star reviews of vet hospitals.
They assume all vets care about is money. Ma'am, if all we cared about was money, we'd be investment bankers. The average grad this year is starting out with $129,000 in debt. The average starting salary around here is about $75K for a new grad. That new grad is someone who went to 4 years of undergrad, and then 4 years of vet school. You know what? Our babies need shoes too. And when you gripe that you might actually have to PAY for the state of the art care you receive, what you are actually saying is that you consider your disposable income better spent on something besides your pet. Why don't you try asking the grocery store if they will just let you have your groceries? You NEED to eat don't you? Surely it should be within the goodness of their heart to let you pay what you can for your groceries?
Second, they just know that their itsy bitsy sugar woogums would never hurt a fly. Really, they paralyzed your dog cutting her nails? 1) cut 'em yourself if she's such a jewel to do it 2) if she got back disease from a nail trimming she's either a breed predisposed to back disease or overweight or, gold star, both.
Vets are hard working, caring people. We love animals, we love science, we love medicine. And we show up to work every day so that we can make animals lives better.
