A "public house of entertainment" has operated in Moore's Tavern as far back as 1787, when Moses Mount received a continuation on his license to operate the establishment. With beams that still show early American tool marks, the current tavern and sports bar hosts live bands on Friday and Saturday nights. The varied menu has something for everyone, from comfort food and barbecue to salads, seafood and grilled balsamic chicken. In addition to appetizers, soups, sandwiches, wraps, burgers and pastas, customers can have hand-tossed pizza topped with homemade marinara sauce. The bar serves bottled and tap beer, mixed drinks, wine and after-dinner drinks.
