Report: Obama To Visit Asbury Park on Tuesday

President will speak at Convention Hall

President Barack Obama will visit Asbury Park and speak at Convention Hall on Tuesday during a visit to view the rebuilding and recovery efforts from Hurricane Sandy, according to NJ.com. Obama will be joined by Gov. Chris Christie and is expected to visit with families and business owners, according to the report. The report states that the event is open to the public, but that tickets are limited to one per person and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Grand Arcade at Convention Hall.

Point Pleasant Beach visitors can now enjoy one of the borough's most popular attractions as the boardwalk has been repaired in time for Memorial Day weekend. Visitors will find they can now stroll on the Point Beach boardwalk from end to end, now that the sections ripped by Superstorm Sandy have been repaired or replaced.

By the way Memorial Day is not the start of summer. As you can see you can have cold dreary weather in May especially in the northeast. With a cooler spring this year the water temperature is below normal right now. From what I see I think its going to be a cool wet summer in the Northeast with pockets of hot weather. Long Branch- The city has been working hard over the last few weeks to open as many access points as possible after Hurricane Sandy destroyed them and the city's boardwalk south of Pier Village. The boardwalk will not be repaired this summer, but could be rebuilt in time for the 2014 summer season, officials have said. The city's beaches are open on weekends starting Memorial Day up until the third weekend in June, when they will be open daily. The beach season closes on Labor Day. This may not be the start of summer we were all hoping for, but Memorial Day Weekend may not be a total wash. The National Weather Service calls for rain and a high of 59 degrees on Saturday, and a windy and cloudy day on Sunday.  The sun may make an appearance on Memorial Day, with a partly cloudy forecast and a high of 74 degrees in Western Monmouth County.  What's your rain contingency plan?  

NJ Collegiate Career Day to Host Over 150 Employers

Graduates! Now that you have that degree, are you unsure what to do next? Grab your resumes and head to the New Jersey Collegiate Career Day on May 30 at Rutgers University. From 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., over 150 public and private sector employers will be at the Rutgers Student Center, 126 College Ave. and Brower Commons, 145 College Ave., according to a press release from the university. Free shuttles will be on hand to transport people between the West Stadium parking lot near High Points Solutions Stadium on Busch Campus and the site of the fair.
