Patriots Girls Heading to SCT Final
Freehold Township topped Colts Neck Wednesday to advance to the Shore Conference Tournament final.
NEPTUNE - Seniors Gabby Galanti and Amanda Dailey scored first half goals and senior Sam Blair and sophomore Hayley Pascoal combined on a shutout to help the Freehold Township girls soccer team beat Colts Neck 2-0 Wednesday and advance to the Shore Conference Tournament final. Galanti converted a penalty kick in the 18th minute after a handball near the edge of the 18-yard penalty box. Then, with 4:54 left before halftime, Bailey threw herself between three Colts Neck defenders surrounding a bouncing ball in the box and slid the ball to the far post for a 2-0 lead.
