BBP Grand Opening Week Brings in over 5k for FoodBank

A dollar was donated to the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties for every burger that was sold during opening week of Freehold’s location of Bobby Burger Palace (BBP).

Two weeks since the grand opening of Bobby Flay’s Freehold location of Bobby’s Burger Palace (BBP), a large donation has been made in the restaurant’s name. During the first week of opening, Flay explained that he wanted to help out those affected by Hurricane Sandy and decided the best way to help would be by donating to the FoodBank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties. “I said to my team, we can’t celebrate a restaurant opening without thinking about people who were displaced or had other things happen to them after Hurricane Sandy,” said Flay in his interview with Patch. “Because this particular area has been so supportive of us [BBP] we thought ‘how can we celebrate the opening of the restaurant in Freehold and at the same time give back to…

A Closer Look Into Bobby Flay and His Burger Palace

Bobby Flay opened his twelfth location of Bobby's Burger Palace at the Freehold Raceway Mall on Wednesday, Dec. 5.

Celebrity Chef Bobby Flay has been a household name for years. Some of his titles include being an Iron Chef, Throw Down Master, Cook Book writer, and Food Network star, but to Flay, he is still just a chef. "I am still a guy with a white chef’s coat on, the food world has changed so much in the last 20 years and I have just been standing in the right place so in some ways I have been lucky to ride the wave where food has taken people in this country. VIDEO: Bobby Flay Opens Bobby's Burger Palace in Freehold

Chef and restaurateur opens new restaurant at local mall

The latest addition to the Freehold Raceway Mall arrived on Wednesday morning when Bobby Flay opened his newest Bobby's Burger Palace. The restaurant offers wide variety of options including his well known hamburgers, sandwiches and sides, and there was a crowd waiting to try the food and meet the Iron Chef himself.  The business opening had a charitable beginning: $1 of the purchase price of every burger sold during the first week of operation will go to The Foodbank of Monmouth and Ocean Counties.

The one in Freehold is the second Bobby's Burger Palace I went and I will not come back again to any of his restaurants. Our order was all messed up. I ordered my burger well done, but I got a pink bloody burger. My daughters was over cooked and dried. Our mango milkshake tasted like banana. The portions are tiny small, and expensive. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.   more ›
